- Description: BSA is one of the many cultural organizations dedicated to providing positive cultural, intellectual, and social activities and experiences for ALL students at Stetson University. We program events, activites, and experiences to confront issues and challenges relevant to the black community in relation to the greater context of society. As a result we help to create a positive self-identity among our members and others through community involvement and campus interaction.

Mission statement:
To advocate, educate, and empower. Educating the student body and about issues, challenges, and interests relevant to the greater black commmunity, while celebrating the achievements, triumphs, and rich history of the black community. Advocating points of interest to the black community as well as all students in their college experience. Empowering the Stetson community with an indelible cultural experience that promotes tolerance, anti-discrimination, and unification.
