• Mission statement:

  The ACLU seeks to create on Stetsons campus a safe and good community where the worth of each individual is recognized; to promote the well-being of each student, faculty, and staff member; to work towards a campus and community that is free of prejudice, hatred, or malice toward other persons, especially as these pertain to bigotry based in undue privilege; to protect the ability of people to flourish by protecting the rights, freedoms, and capabilities inherent and inalienable to them as human beings; to fight against injustices and wrongs that act against our most cherished beliefs; and to ensure that in every case the actions taken by the university are consistent with its proclaimed values.

  Express interest in our organization by contacting either the President or the Vice President and attend a meeting. Also, if one has a Facebook account, one can add either the President or Vice-President as a friend, and they in turn will add new and returning members to the ACLU Facebook group page.
