The primary goal of Stetson International Organization is to develop Stetson students' awareness of international practices, to celebrate international culture, to enrich Stetson's cultural environment with student-led activities, and to bridge the gap between domestic and international students at our university.
Simply by being subscribed to the email list or a member of our facebook page, one is automatically considered an official member of SIO.

SIO has several types of membership to ensure all students can manage their level of involvement:
The member is subscribed to the email list and considered an official member. Accordingly, they receive all announcements and information about events. Although it is encouraged, basic members are not required to attend meetings or events on a regular basis.
The member attends a minimum of 75% of all SIO meetings and/or events. Active members are granted voting rights in position elections, which are held every semester, and other elections regarding matters of the organization. One must be an active member to run for any position, unless other arrangements have been made with the executive board.
The member holds a non-officer position. These members should attend all events, and all meetings if possible.
The member holds an officer/executive position. These members must attend all executive meetings, and should attend all regular meetings and events if possible.
